Lucky Strike or often called “Luckies” is one of the most popular cigarette brands all over the World. These cigarettes were presented to American market in 1871 by “R.A. Patterson”. These changes were made because copper used in manufacturing of green color was needed for World War Two. A new ad slogan was born: "Lucky Strike Green has gone to war".

These changes in "Luckies" design caused some gossips around this brand. It was said that red and white colors were used to honor nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as it took to Japan flag. Another gossip was that Lucky Strike added marijuana for American soldiers during the World War Two.
